Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST)

The Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) was established in 19996 by the integration of two organizations namely Japan Science and Technology Information Center (JICST) and New Technology Development Corporation (JRDC). The organization works with the aim of developing infrastructure for the promotion of science and technology, as well as promoting the policies stipulated in the Science and Technology Basic Law.

JST runs the SICORP program along with various countries and regions to contribute towards solutions to challenges facing world today by promoting innovation. JST works together with different funding agencies in counterpart countries and funds the research projects on an equal partnership basis.
