The 2023-2024 Joan and Joseph Birman Fellowship for Women Scholars is funded by the American Mathematical Society to support mid-career women mathematicians working at research institutions in the USA. The recipient may use the fellowship funds at her discretion to facilitate her research career in mathematics,  for example, for release time, participation in special research programs, travel support, childcare, etc. Applicants must be AMS members. The Fellowship provides 50,000 USD for the academic year 2023-2024. Applications close on December 1, 2022.
