2023 Cross-Species Studies of ASD (autism worldwide)

The 2023 Cross-Species Studies of ASD from the Simons Foundation provides support for autism research projects with multi-disciplinary teams of PIs with expertise in both human and animal research to perform coordinated cross-species studies to advance our understanding of autism spectrum disorder (ASD)-relevant behaviors and their underlying neurobiological mechanisms, with the potential for developing novel biomarkers or interventions. All applicants and key collaborators must hold a Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent degree and have a faculty position or the equivalent at a college, university, medical school or other research facility anywhere in the world. Applicants may apply for up to 400,000 USD in total funding for projects spanning up to 2 – 3years, this may include up to 20% in indirect costs.
