The 2023 Wylie Scholar Award from Vascular Cures supports outstanding surgeons in the initial phase of their academic career who are dedicated to an academic career combining their clinical practice with original, innovative basic laboratory or clinical research. The award may be used to support research in the following areas: basic science, translational, clinical research, patient-centered research, outcomes/health services research, teaching, community service, and patient care. Applicants must hold a full-time faculty appointment as a vascular surgeon with active privileges at a medical school accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education in the United States or the Committee for the Accreditation of Canadian Medical Schools in Canada. Applicants must be within 5 years of their first faculty appointment. There may only be one nomination from each academic training program.
The Award provides 50,000 USD/year for up to 3 years (no indirect costs). Applications are due on March 1, 2023.
