The Assay development and screening for discovery of chemical probes, drugs or immunomodulators (R01 Clinical Trial Not Allowed) research funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) supports research in the discovery and development of novel, small molecules for cancer. Molecules discovered through this funding call may be used to probe cancer biology, to validate cancer targets, or as the basis for optimized drugs. Applications are open to researchers at research institutions in the USA and worldwide, including small businesses and other for-profit organizations. The grant provides funding for up to 3 years. The proposed budget should reflect the actual costs of the study.
