Assessing Race in Clinical Research Models (USA cardiovascular health)

The Assessing Race in Clinical Research Models research grants from the American Heart Association (AHA) seeks a fresh look at risk prediction models and algorithms in the field of cardiovascular and stroke science that have been adjusted for race, and reevaluate based on potential downstream inequities in disease outcomes and treatments. The target recipients are pre-docs, post-docs, and fellows at US-based research institutions. The award provides 50,000 USD (including 10% indirect costs) for 1 year plus AWS credits to support data analysis on the AHA Precision Medicine Platform (up to $50,000 dollars). The project lead must be a full member of AHA.

Letters of intent are due on January 23, 2023 and invited full applications are due on March 6, 2023.
