The Bosarge Family Foundation-Waun Ki Hong Scholar Award for Regenerative Cancer Medicine from the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) supports postdoctoral researchers working on novel research in the field of regenerative cancer medicine. The research proposed for funding may be translational, clinical, or epidemiological in nature and must have direct applicability and relevance to enhancing the physiology of cancer survivors (and/or mitigating the negative effects of their cancer treatment) using regenerative medicine approaches. Applicants must have a doctoral degree (including PhD, MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent) in a related field and not currently be a candidate for a further doctoral degree. At the start of the grant term on July 1, 2023, applicants must:
- Hold a mentored research position with the title of postdoctoral fellow, clinical research fellow, or the equivalent
- Have completed their most recent doctoral degree within the past five years (i.e., degree cannot have been conferred before July 1, 2018 the formal date of receipt of doctoral degree is the date the degree was conferred as indicated on your diploma and/or transcript)
- Work under the auspices of a mentor at an academic, medical, or research institution anywhere in the world.
- Be an active AACR member.
The award provides 120,000 USD over 2 years and does not cover indirect costs.
