Development of Novel Nonsteroidal Contraceptive Methods Research Grant (worldwide)

The Development of Novel Nonsteroidal Contraceptive Methods Research Grant funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) supports researchers working on multidisciplinary research approaches for the development of novel nonsteroidal contraceptive products for men and women that act prior to fertilization. Applications are open to US-based and international program directors or principal investigators. Individuals from diverse backgrounds, including underrepresented racial and ethnic groups, individuals with disabilities, and women are encouraged to apply.

The maximum project period of the combined R61 and R33 phases is up to 5 years with up to 2 years for the R61 phase and up to 3 years for the R33 phase. For the R61 phase, Direct costs of up to 250,000 USD/year will be supported. For the R33 phase, Direct costs of up to 500,000USD/year will be provided.

The letter of intent (LOI) is due on February 28, 2023. The submission of the full application is due on March 29, 2023, at 5:00 PM local time of the applicant organization.
