The EPSRC-SFI Joint Funding of Research from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) support collaborative teams led by principal investigators from the UK and Ireland. The Funding is aimed at joint research and technology development in all areas of EPSRC’s remit, which covers chemistry, engineering, information and communications technologies, materials, mathematical sciences and physics.
Applicants must hold a PhD or equivalent and be a member of the academic staff of an eligible Research Body or a Contract Researcher.
The SFI funding provides up to 500,000 EUR of direct costs for 12 to 60 months. The EPSRC provides 80% of the full economic cost.

Applications are assessed on a rolling basis and applicants are encouraged to apply at any time.
