The Research Project Grant proposals – The Ageing Immune System from The Dunhill Medical Trust support UK-based researchers working on the ageing immune system. The Trust encourages multidisciplinary teams that address the following:
- The influence of the ageing immune system on the development of frailty – including, but not
limited to, the mechanisms, the effects of gender and/or other characteristics etc. - The influence of the ageing immune system on cognitive decline and vice versa.
- The influence of the ageing immune system on the gut microbiome and vice versa – including,
but not limited to, any links to age-related issues.
The grant provides up to 400,000 GBP over three years. The Trust does not cover indirect costs but successful applicants are eligible for support from the Charity Research Support Fund (CRSF) to cover indirect costs. Applications are due on January 20, 2023.
