The IBRO-USRC MBL and CSHL Fellowships from the International Brain Research Organization (IBRO) support PhD students and postdoctoral fellows in the USA and Canada who self-identify as belonging to underrepresented groups in biomedical research to further their research by attending Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL) or Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) training courses.
American applicants: must currently be training in US-based minority-serving institutions (MSIs). Preference will be given to diverse individuals, as defined by the National Institutes of Health (e.g., African-Americans, Hispanics, Native Americans, Pacific Islanders, and persons with disabilities).
Canadian applicants: preference will be given to those in non-U15 Universities and trainees belonging to marginalized groups (First Nations and other Indigenous communities in Canada, women, and persons with disabilities).
Up to 9,650 EUR are available for MBL courses and up to 3,510 EUR are available for CSHL courses. Application deadlines are course-dependent.
