The Infections and immunity: responsive mode partnership funding scheme from the Medical Research Council (MRC) supports new partnerships between diverse groups of researchers in infections and immunity in the UK. Applicants must hold a doctoral, be a researcher employed by a research organisation eligible to apply for MRC funding, and have an established funding and research record. Applicants are encouraged to include 1 or more industry partners as project partners. Project is open to international collaborations if the required expertise is not available in the UK. There is no limit to the budget but it should be appropriate for the project. The MRC funds up to 80% of the full economic costs of a project. Funding is available for up to 5 years. Application rounds close every January, May and September.
