International Scholars (childhood cancer researchers)

The International Scholars funded by the St. Baldrick´s Foundation supports childhood cancer researchers from low or middle-income economies to gain research experience and training in high-income economies (as defined by the World Bank). Applicants should hold a Ph.D., M.D., D.O., or international equivalent degree by the start of the Award. Applicants must be early-career and possibly hold a junior faculty-level position at an academic or non-profit research institution or laboratory and must have held such a position for no longer than five years at the time of the application deadline. The recipient must have or apply for legal work authorization to work at the host institution. The institution of origin must guarantee a faculty position for the funded researcher in year 4-5 of the Award. The Award provides 110,000 USD/year for the first 3 years; the Award may be renewed for up to 2 years at 115,000 USD/year. Letters of Intent are due on December 2, 2022 and full invited applications are due on February 17, 2023.
