The JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowships 2023 are supported by The British Academy and funded by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) to promote UK postdoctoral researchers working with leading research groups in Japan. The British Academy nominates several candidates to JSPS, which makes the final fellowship decision. Applicants must be residents of the United Kingdom, the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands. Applicants must have completed their PhD in the humanities or the social sciences within the past 6 years. The Fellowship provides a monthly stipend of 362,000 JPY for up to 2 years + additional benefits, including return airfare and a settling-in allowance. Applications close on December 14, 2022.
