The Khoo Pilot Award (KPA) from the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre (AMC) funds clinical and translational pilot research projects. These projects are aimed at obtaining pilot data for applying to research grants from various funding agencies.

This award supports, but is not limited to, the early career development of Clinician Scientists or Clinician Investigators. It is available to Duke-NUS academic appointment holders (adjunct or regular rank) to facilitate their research career growth. Applicants must be current or former Khoo Scholars in the Khoo Scholars Programme and hold a Duke-NUS academic appointment at the time of funding. Eligible candidates must have one of the following degrees: MD, MBBS, BDS, or PhD.

This award supports a budget of up to 30,000 SGD for a maximum period of 12 months. Applications are reviewed year-round.
