The Louise Hanson Marshall Special Recognition Award from the Society for Neuroscience (SfN) recognizes an individual who has significantly promoted the professional development of women in neuroscience through teaching, organizational leadership, public advocacy, or other efforts that are not necessarily research-related. Nominations must be made by an SfN member. Nominees do not need to be SfN members. Self-nominations are not allowed. The Awardee receives complimentary registration, transportation (economy air or ground), and two nights hotel accommodations for the SfN annual meeting.

This is an annual award and the next nominations open on February 20, 2024 and close on April 4, 2024.
