The Nature Awards for Mentoring in Science recognize the mentoring efforts of researchers around the world. The Award focuses on a different region each year, with the 2022 award dedicated to mentors working in Singapore. There are two categories:
- The award for lifetime achievement in mentoring is open to individuals who were awarded their PhD or Medical Doctorate before 1995.
- The award for mid-career achievement – awarded jointly between two mentors – is open to individuals who were awarded their PhD or Medical Doctorate in or after 1995.
Past and current mentees are encouraged to nominate their mentors for the Award, self-nomations are welcome. The Award consists of 10,000 USD. The first nomination deadline is April 29, 2022. Supporting documentation are due on May 13, 2022.
