NCI Outstanding Investigator Award (Cancer Research USA)

The NCI Outstanding Investigator Award from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and National Cancer Institute (NCI) provides long-term support to accomplished investigators with outstanding records of cancer research accomplishments who propose to conduct exceptional research.

Applicants must be program directors or principal investigators in a U.S.- based institution. Individuals from diverse backgrounds, including underrepresented racial and ethnic groups, individuals with disabilities, and women are encouraged to apply. Applicants may apply for up to 600,000 USD direct costs per year for up to 7 years. Applicable Facilities and Administrative (F&A) costs to be determined at the time of award.

The letter of intent (LOI) is due on October 7, 2023 (30 days before application due date). The submission of the full application is due on November 7, 2023, at 5:00 PM local time of the applicant organization.
