NSF Ocean Sciences Postdoctoral Fellowships (USA)

The Ocean Sciences Postdoctoral Fellowships (OCE-PRF) are funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and support postdoctoral training of researchers in the ocean sciences. Applicants must have completed their doctoral degree prior to the start date of the fellowship or within 24 months of starting their postdoctoral training. Applicants must be citizens, nationals, or permanent residents of the USA. Research must be conducted at eligible institutions in the USA. Fellowship funding starts at 79,000 USD/year and is provided over a period of 2 years (direct costs only). Applicants who are women, veterans, persons with disabilities, and underrepresented minorities in STEM, or who have attended community colleges and minority-serving institutions (e.g. Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Tribal Colleges and Universities, Hispanic Serving Institutions, Alaska Native Serving Institutions, and Hawaiian Native and Pacific Islander Serving Institutions) are especially encouraged to apply. Applications close annually on the second Friday in November, the next closing date is November 10, 2023.
