The Ocean Leadership Microgrants from the Sustainable Ocean Alliance (SOA) support young project leaders worldwide who are under 36 and addressing critical ocean issues with grassroots, collaborative approaches. Some areas covered b the microgrants include:
- Blue Carbon
- Fisheries
- Ecosystem & Species Conservation
- Education & Research
- Waste Reduction & Circularity
Both individuals and organizations are welcome to apply, with preference given to government-registered nonprofit organizations. First-time applicants may apply for up to 4000 USD in funding support. Applicants who have been funded by SOA previously may apply for up to 15,000 USD in funding support. Applications are by invitation only and interested applicants are welcome to register on SOA's website.
