Path to a Cure – Pioneer Award (cystic fibrosis)

The Path to a Cure – Pioneer Award from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation provides funding for exceptional investigators who have made significant and impactful contributions to their field of study. The projects should be ambitious basic research utilizing cutting-edge techniques and strategies to discover new genetic-based therapies for cystic fibrosis. The award focuses on two aspects of the disease: restoring CFTR protein and targeting the root cause of disease. There are no restrictions on the location of research nor any citizenship/residency requirements. Applicants may request up to 3 years of funding support, including 12% indirect costs. There are no submission closing dates but applicants must first submit a letter of intent.
