The Postdoc.Mobility Fellowships from the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) support Swiss and Switzerland-trained researchers to continue with their postdoctoral training abroad. Applicants must have completed their doctorate within the past 3 years or will complete their doctorate in the coming 9 months. Applicants must be a Swiss national, holder of valid Swiss permanent residence, residence or cross-border commuter permit, married to a Swiss national or co-habiting with a Swiss national in a registered partnership. Foreign nationals applying to the award must have at least 2 years of research experience at a Swiss research institute. The Fellowship provides up to 24 months of fellowship funding, including a stipend and additional benefits, including travel costs and social security contributions for the return grant. Successful applicants have the possibility to apply for research funding for 3-12 months upon their return to Switzerland. There are two assessment rounds per year, with closing dates in February and August.
