Research to better prevent, identify and manage diabetes stress (UK)
The Research to better prevent, identify and manage diabetes stress funding program from Diabetes UK and the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) support multi-disciplinary teams of researchers in the UK working on better understanding of diabetes distress. Diabetes distress is the emotional response to living with diabetes, including the demands of self-management, the threat of complications, the social impact of stigma and discrimination, and the financial costs of treatment. These factors can lead to people living with diabetes experiencing low periods of mental health, often feeling defeated by their condition, which can also affect self-management and clinical outcomes. Letters of intent are due on November 30, 2022 and full invited applications are due on April 12, 2023.
