Research Grants for Angelman Syndrome (worldwide)

The Research Grants supported by the Angelman Syndrome Foundation provide funding for global researchers working on the rare disease Angelman syndrome. The current research priorities include but are not limited to:

  • Projects studying or correcting the heterozygous effect of non-UBE3A genes in deletion
  • Projects studying the potential results of increasing UBE3A after therapies or for some subtypes of AS
  • Projects studying delivery of therapies and potential for improvement
  • Symptomatic therapies that impact the daily life of people with Angelman syndrome and their families

The Grants provide 1-2 years of research funding for up to 100,000 USD/year (including 10% indirect costs). Research proposals are assessed on a continual basis, with review closing dates on April 15 and October 15.
