The Ruth L. Kirschstein Predoctoral Individual National Research Service Award to Promote Diversity in Health-Related Research is funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and supports doctoral students in the USA from underrepresented populations in the biomedical sciences. Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents. The host institution may be in the USA or abroad. The Fellowship provides up to 6 years of stipend funding + additional benefits. Applications follow the NIH standard application closing dates, i.e. April 8, August 8 and December 8.

The next application closing date is August 8, 2023.
