The Shields Family Research Grant for High-Grade Uterine Cancer, in collaboration with the Foundation for Women’s Cancer, supports researchers in the USA working on uterine cancer. Recognizing that recurrence rates are higher and treatment options are more limited in aggressive subtypes of uterine cancer, the Shields Family grant supports projects focusing on high-grade subtypes of uterine cancer (clear cell, uterine serous cancer, carcinosarcoma, poorly differentiated, and/or grade 3 endometrioid). Any area of research that would be expected to increase cure rates or prolong life is eligible, including new therapies, novel imaging, clinical trial adjuvant studies, molecular characterization, understating pathogenesis, etc. Applications are open to members of the Society of Gynecologic Oncology (SGO) who are junior investigators, generally Assistant Professors & below (within 7 years of first faculty appointment). Others are open to apply but priority will be given to junior investigators. Non-member applicants must have a co-applicant who is an SGO member. The grant provides 50,000 USD (including 10% indirect costs) over 1 year.

Abstracts are due on September 8, 2023. Full invited applications are due on November 3, 2023.
