The SSF Sabbatical – 2024 program from the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research (SSF) supports researchers in Sweden with the opportunity to take one to two sabbatical years abroad where the research will take place in a different discipline or sector than the person currently works in. The research must be within SSF’s priority areas: natural science, technology or medicine. Researchers who are employed full-time as a senior lecturer or professor at a Swedish university or college have the opportunity to apply. The location of the sabbatical must be a university, industry, healthcare provider, major research infrastructure or a research institute. The award provides a maxmium of 3 million SEK, including 25% indirect costs.
