Strategic International Collaborative Research Program (SICORP) Information on Japan-France Joint Call for Proposals 2023 on Edge AI

The Strategic International Collaborative Research Program (SICORP) Information on Japan-France Joint Call for Proposals 2023 on Edge AI is a joint funding initiative between the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) and L’Agence nationale de la recherche (ANR). The call aims at supporting collaborative research on current challenges in edge and embedded AI, which shall contribute to the development of pre-competitive and applied results for products, processes and/or technical services.
The proposals should relate – without being limited – to one or more of the following application domains:

  • Healthcare
  • Industry4.0/Connected Industries
  • Telecom application
  • Autonomous driving

The research consortia must be composed of at least four partners (“2+2”), i.e., two of them on the Japanese side and two on the French side. For each country, these consortia should include at least one university or research institution and one company. The grant provides 60 million JPY over 4 years (including indirect costs)
