The Study of the U.S. Institutes (SUSI) from Fulbright Sweden supports highly motivated first- to third-year undergraduate students from universities or other institutions of higher education in Sweden to gain a deeper understanding of the U.S.A. Applicants must be Swedish citizens. The Study Institute in Environmental Issues takes place over a 5-week period between June and August each summer, and consist of a series of seminar discussions, readings, group presentations, lectures, and travel.
The program provides
- Round trip airfare
- Tuition and fees
- Lodging and meals at the host university
- Incidentals allowance
- Coverage of all SEVIS and J-1 visa fees
- Accident & sickness insurance coverage
- Each Institute will begin with a visit to Washington, D.C.
