E.W. “Al” Thrasher Awards (pediatric research worldwide)

The E.W. “Al” Thrasher Awards from the Thrasher Research Funds seeks to award independent researchers addressing significant pediatric challenges with priority given to projects that could be translated into clinically meaningful results in the coming years. There are no restrictions on recipient citizenship nor the location of the host institution. The Award provides proposal-dependent research funding for up to 3 years; the average amount awarded is 370,000 USD (covering up to 7% indirect costs). The next closing dates are:

  • 2023 Fall Cycle. Concept submission: January 17, 2023; invited full applications: April 21, 2023.
