Turku Intersectoral Excellence Scheme (humanities and social sciences Finland)

The Turku Intersectoral Excellence Scheme (TIES) is a co-fund scheme between the University of Turku's Turku Institute for Advanced Studies (TIAS) and the European Union’s Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA). The Scheme supports outstanding researchers in the humanities and social sciences to undertake a three-year research project of their own design. Applicants must not have spent more than 12 months in Finland in the past 36 months. The project must directly concern at least one non-academic sector (such as government, business or not-for-profit/voluntary sector). As part of the fellowship, the fellow must spend a secondment period of 2-6 months in a sector outside of higher education. See also TIAS's webinar to launch the funding scheme.
