Understanding geohazard processes and their impacts across India (UK & India)

The Understanding geohazard processes and their impacts across India research funding from Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) supports collaborative UK-India projects that improve understanding of geohazard events in India and its neighbouring countries. Applicants in the UK must be:

  • be based at a UK research organisation eligible for NERC funding
  • be in a role that meets the individual eligibility requirements
  • have at least one Indian partner based at a Ministry of Earth Sciences, India (MoES) institute

The full economic cost (FEC) of the UK component can be up to £1 million, with NERC funding 80% of the FEC. All Indian applicants should hold a permanent position in India. India-based applicants will be funded by the Ministry of Earth Sciences, India (MoES). Project duration must be 4 years.
