Weston Family Awards in Northern Research and Weston Family Boreal Research Fellowships (Canada)
The Weston Family Awards in Northern Research and Weston Family Boreal Research Fellowships support early-career scientists in Canada pursuing research in Canada’s North. Applications are open to Canada-based master's and PhD students, and postdoctoral fellows studying a spectrum of fields and disciplines in the natural sciences, including studies of northern ecosystems, biodiversity, flora and fauna, meteorology, oceanography, glaciology, geography and environmental studies. The Award provides:
- Master's students: 20,000 CAD over 1 year
- Doctoral students: 120,000 CAD over 3 years
- Postdoctoral fellows: 110,000 CAD over 2 years
