American Psychological Foundation (APF)

The American Psychological Foundation (APF) is a grant-making foundation that funds early career psychologists and graduate students who are researching and using psychology to improve people´s lives. The Foundation funds research and studies in the following focus areas:

  • Applying psychology to at-risk, vulnerable populations
  • Preventing violence
  • Understanding the connection between behavior and health
  • Understanding and eliminating stigma and prejudice
  • Treating serious mental illness
  • Studying gifted children and adolescents
  • Examining human reproductive behaviors
  • Exploring child psychology
