The Arthritis Foundation was founded in 1948 in the U.S. The foundation supports the arthritis community by providing life-changing information and resources and access to optimal care. Their goal is to ensure access to medical care for the nearly 60 million Americans living with doctor diagnosed arthritis. By offering fellowships the foundation wants to reduce the lack of rheumatologists in the U.S.
