The Australian Society for Antimicrobials (ASA) is an Australia-based learned society for researchers and professionals interested in antimicrobial science and research. Members of the society include:

  • clinical microbiologists
  • infectious diseases physicians
  • respiratory and ICU physicians
  • medical and non-medical microbiologists
  • scientists
  • pharmacists
  • veterinarians
  • undergraduate and postgraduate students
  • industry representatives from pharmaceutical and diagnostic/research biomedical companies.

Members of the society are primarily based in Australia and New Zealand. More recently, the society has also members from North America, Europe and Asia. The Society supports its members with an annual research grant program with applications due in October.
