ForestValue2 is a European network of public funding organizations, co-funded by Horizon Europe, that supports and increases coordination and alignment of national and regional funding programmes on research and innovation related to forest-based bioeconomy, strengthening the European Research Area and supporting the European Green Deal.
The initiative runs from January 2023 to December 2027 and brings together 14 owners and managers of national and regional research, development, and innovation (RDI) programmes across 11 EU Member States (Finland, Ireland, Germany, Spain, Slovenia, Latvia, Poland, Slovakia, Italy, Estonia, Romania) plus one Associated Country, Norway. A key objective is implementing joint calls that fund transnational collaborative R&I projects, with particular attention to building research capacity in widening countries, Ukraine, and Moldova.
