The John Randolph Haynes and Dora Haynes Foundation is a US-based private foundation and supports social science research in Los Angeles. The founder’s philosophy was promoting “the social betterment of mankind.” Each year, the Foundation spends up to $3 million on grants and scholarships to public and private institutions. Over the years, the Foundation has funded hundreds of urban studies in the areas of education, transportation, local government, elections, public safety, demographics, public personal services and natural resources.
