The Juliana von Wendtin säätiö is a nonprofit organization based in Finland dedicated to the Promotion of Science Without Animal Experimentation. The Foundation supports ethical research for a kinder, more compassionate world. The Foundation awards yearly grants to Finnish researchers developing and applying non-animal methodology in a wide range of fields, including toxicity testing, cancer research, surgery, antibody production, computer-assisted drug modelling, tissue culture techniques, higher education, etc.
The Juliana von Wendt Foundation also has the Fund for Animal Welfare, which supports research and communication efforts aimed at improving the health of livestock and other domestic animals, as well as their opportunities for natural behavior. Grants encourage researchers and producers to develop and adopt animal-friendly production methods.
