National Heritage Board (NHB)


The National Heritage Board (NHB) in Singapore is responsible for preserving and promoting Singapore’s heritage and culture. In addition to managing museums, heritage interpretative centers, and community heritage institutions, the NHB also supports researchers in Singapore with the Heritage Research Grant: The NHB introduced the Heritage Research Grant (HRG) in 2015 to fund research projects related to Singapore’s tangible and intangible heritage5. The grant aims to encourage research that contributes to the understanding and appreciation of Singapore’s heritage.
