The Research Council of Finland (formerly known as the Academy of Finland) is a governmental funding body for scientific research in Finland. The Council supports Finnish researchers and collaborations with international counterparts.

Open Access Policy: The Research Council supports open access publishing costs, which should be calculated as part of the overhead costs associated. While layout and editing costs related to the preparation of scientific publications may be financed as research costs for the research project.
