United Engineering Foundation (UEF)

The United Engineering Foundation Inc. (UEF) is a US-based foundation supporting research in engineering sciences. The UEF originated as the the United Engineering Society (UES), which was founded in 1904 with the generous support of Andrew Carnegie. UEF´s members include the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical and Petroleum Engineers (AIME), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). The Foundation provides funding and fellowships to support research and education in the engineering field.
