The AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellowships (STPF) from the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) provide opportunities for outstanding scientists and engineers to learn first-hand about policymaking while contributing their knowledge and analytical skills to the federal policymaking process. Fellows serve year-long assignments in the executive, legislative and judicial branches of the federal government in Washington, DC. Applicants must hold a doctoral degree or a Master’s degree in engineering plus three years of professional engineering experience. Applicants must be US citizens. The fellowship involves a year-long placement within various branches of the US government, starting on September 1 and ending on August 31. The fellowship provides stipend support between 89,000 – 116,000USD plus additional benefits, including health insurance and a relocation allowance.
