The Academy Member Event Fund from the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) supports NIHR Academy Members to plan and hold events that promote NIHR Academy programmes and strategic priorities. Events must target at least one priority professional group (primary and community care professions, pharmacists, public health, social care, or radiographers) or priority area (multiple long-term conditions, sustainability, inclusive research, or working with industry), and must take place between April 1, 2027, and March 31, 2028.
Applications are open to individual postdoctoral-level NIHR Academy Members, including those based within NIHR infrastructure, schools and Incubators, as well as NIHR Global Health training leads and Global Health Research personal award holders. The institution receiving the funding should be based in the UK.
The fund provides up to 5,000 GBP per event to cover costs such as advertising, venue hire or software, resources, accessibility, and refreshments. Individuals can only receive support for one event per financial year.
