The ACS Award for Encouraging Disadvantaged Students Into Careers in the Chemical Sciences is sponsored by The Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation and recognizes the work of individuals in stimulating students, underrepresented in the profession, to elect careers in the chemical sciences and engineering. Nominees for the award may come from any professional setting in the USA, including academia, industry, government, or other independent facilities. The Award consists of 5,000 USD and certificate for the recipient, 10,000 USD for an institution designated by the recipient – to strengthen the careers of underrepresented students in chemical sciences, and up to 1,5000 USD for travel expenses for attending the meeting at which the award will be presented. Annual nomination period between July 1 to November 1.
