Researchers at Risk Fellowships (UK)

The Researchers at Risk Fellowships are provided by The British Academy and Cara (the Council for At-Risk Academics) to support researchers who have been displaced, with priority given to researchers from Ukraine. The Fellowships are open to UK-based institutions to apply on behalf of the researcher at risk. The Fellowships cover researchers working in all disciplines, including the natural sciences, medical sciences, engineering, humanities, and social sciences. The displaced researcher must hold a doctoral degree to be eligible for the program. The current priority group for this grant is researchers from Ukraine. The Fellowship provides ca. 37,000 GBP per year for 2 years (does not cover indirect costs). Risk assessments are conducted by Cara and must be submitted two weeks before the deadline. Applications for the next round close on February 8, 2023.
