The Clinical academic research partnerships funding scheme from the Medical Research Council(MRC) supports the research interests of UK-registered healthcare professionals through collaborative partnerships. Applicants must be a registered healthcare professional, have a PhD, MD or equivalent, be working at a senior level with specialised knowledge and demonstrable capacity for professional independence and leadership and have a research partner based at an eligible research organisation. The MRC funds 20% to 50% of the recipient’s salary and project costs for one to three years. The MRC funds 80% of the full economic cost. This is an annual funding scheme and the next closing date is November 16, 2023.
