The Junior/Senior Clinical Investigator Award from Cancerfonden: The Swedish Cancer Society provides clinically active, postdoctoral cancer researchers, both established and younger, with the opportunity to spend between 50 and 70% of their time on cancer research for a six-year period (including overhead costs). The remaining working hours are intended for clinical work. The applicant cannot have a permanent position at a university. Examples of staff categories that can apply for this position are doctors, hospital physicists, laboratory engineers, psychologists, nurses, and physiotherapists. Applicants with postdoctoral research experience are given priority. Applications must be made together with the support of the Swedish research institution hosting the applicant for the duration of the fellowship.
