The NMRC Research Training Fellowship (RTF) from the National Medical Research Council (NMRC) of Singapore supports outstanding Singaporean clinicians and health science/healthcare professionals in research training locally or overseas to become Clinician-Scientists. Priority is given to those at a relatively early stage of their research career. This programme is open to applications on all research areas.
Applicants must be registered medical doctors/dental surgeons (i.e., with MBBS/MD/BDS degree). Residents may also apply. Health science/healthcare professionals with non-medical degrees, such as nurses, pharmacists and other allied health professions listed on MOH’s website and possess PhD or equivalent degrees are eligible to apply. Those without PhD or equivalent degrees may apply for training leading to a formal postgraduate degree. Applicants must hold primary employment in a local public research organization and be salaried by the institution.
The award provides up to 800,000 SGD for up to 4 years, and salary support for protected time in research.
