The Damon Runyon Fellowship Award is funded by the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation for postdoctoral researchers in all cancer research, including theoretical and experimental approaches to address cancer causes, mechanisms, therapies, and prevention. Candidates who are US citizens may choose to undertake their research globally. Non-US candidates may only conduct their research at a US institution. The award includes a stipend and additional expenses for up to 4 years, starting at 70,000 USD per year (no indirect costs). The Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation will retire up to $100,000 of any qualifying medical school debt still owed by the awardee.

There are two assessment rounds per year, the next applications close on August 15, 2024.
